Born from the partnership between the historic Spanish chocolate maker Grupo Lacasa—honoring nearly two centuries of confectionery tradition—and KKO International—rooted in over 12 years of continuous on-the-ground presence in Côte d'Ivoire—the Fondation LACASA KKO is dedicated to driving meaningful, measurable social progress in the world's leading cocoa-producing region.

CHILD PROTECTION & EDUCATION

We are constructing learning environments like the École LACASA KKO, where children who once lacked access to facilities now thrive in dedicated classrooms. Beyond academic infrastructure, we safeguard the well-being and security of minors by combating child labor and promoting children's rights.

Women'S rights & community health

We place women's rights and community health at the heart of our commitment by facilitating access to essential healthcare services, promoting maternal and family well-being, advancing water safety awareness, providing vital hospital support—positively impacting over 30,000 lives.

Dismantling centuries-old structures of discrimination and oppression through international legal action and grassroots empowerment.

Through operational partnerships, we help plant over 50,000 new trees every single year, bringing much needed biodiversity in a region devasted by deforestation. Through pilot projects covering urban waste management — we foster resilient, thriving rural communities.

Every initiative reflects our shared commitment. When we build a school, support an entrepreneur, or host our annual hot chocolate day, we honor the land and the families who make our history possible.

The LACASA KKO Foundation is an initiative born out of a partnership between the Spanish Grupo Lacasa and KKO International. At Grupo LACASA, we have spent nearly two centuries honoring the art of chocolate-making. We understand that the soul of our product lies in the land of Côte d’Ivoire and in the hands of its people.

Our strength lies in our presence. For more than 12 years, the KKO International team has lived and worked on the ground, developing a deep and authentic understanding of the challenges facing our farming communities.

As part of our partnership, we focus on measurable and tangible projects that change lives: women’s health, modern classrooms for children, and essential rural services such as solar-powered drinking water and roads. When we commit to a project—whether it’s the Lacasa KKO School or the neonatal unit in Bocanda—we take on a responsibility toward the land and the families that make our story possible.
